State of Mississippi secondary Archives: on Budget & Economy

Phil Bryant: Lower taxes to spur economic growth and job creation

I believe people--not government--know best how to take care of their own money. We will continue to identify targeted tax cuts that will help us grow our existing small businesses. The inventory tax is a prime example. We must push through a reduction and ultimate elimination of the inventory tax, while keeping the burden off of cities and counties so they do not raise property taxes. We must continue looking for other opportunities to lower taxes to spur economic growth and job creation.
