Privatization entails too much risk

It's time to admit that the social security system was designed as a safety net. The American people must be provided with additional ways to invest for their retirement. Privatization entails too much risk, and would benefit primarily Wall Street brokerage firms. Also, privatization would limit the fund's ability to service its customers- the American people.
