Allow small businesses to form association health plans
With the signing of HB1827 by Gov. Blunt, access to affordable health care has been expanded for the 88% of Missouri's employers with 25 or fewer employees. This legislation enables small employers to form association health plans under a common plan
design and premium structure to reduce costs and improve access in the health insurance marketplace. This is a tremendous tool Missouri's small employers can use to access affordable health care, and in so doing, attract and retain quality employees.
