The demand for energy in America grows each year. It is imperative for tomorrow's economy and environment that we adopt conservation practices and develop homegrown, clean-energy technologies, so that we are energy independent from foreign governments that are antagonistic toward the United States. It doesn't make sense for us to be exporting our dollars to foreign governments when we can invest those dollars into our nation.
