Colia Clark: All immigrants should have an equal right to citizenship

Q: What do you think about illegal immigrants earning citizenship?

A: SUPPORT - All immigrants who are not criminals should have an equal right to citizenship. America, save for indigenous populations and descendants of Africa in the enslavement, is a Nation of Immigrants. "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free." This sentiment was the pride of the nation until the colors and religions of the immigrants changed. America must keep the moral high ground on the issue of immigration by opening its doors. The recent flood of natives from Central and South America is a direct outcome of American and Canadian foreign policy which supports tariffs such as the negative NAFTA and CAFTA.
