Mark Perea on Energy & Oil
Let free market determine green energy
Q: Do you support or oppose the policy, `Prioritize green energy`?
A: Oppose; I am not against green energy, I just want the free market and the innovation that comes with it to determine priorities.

Use all resources, such as coal, oil, wind, gas, and solar
Montana's private sector must use her natural resources, such as coal, oil, wind, natural gas, and solar, to produce more energy locally. I favor free-market competition in the power delivery business. Individuals who produce energy privately
should be able to sell it to their neighbors. No one company should control the entire market. Refining our oil locally will end our dependence on foreign oil and reduce gasoline prices.
Using our coal right here in Montana will create high-paying jobs and improve our economy by lowering energy prices. Better to use it right here in Montana for the benefit of our people and that of our fellow Americans. As governor,
I will fight against carbon taxes, oppressive regulations, and the fringe environmentalists who seek to restrict Montana's use of her natural resources.
